Day 1: |
|
Students will use
crayons to make leaf rubbings of a variety of leaf shapes using a variety of
colors on constructions paper. |

|

Day 2: |
|
Show examples of
Matisse paintings. Direct students to cut a variety of leaf shapes out
of different colors of tissue paper. Use an old paintbrush and
watered-down glue to attach the tissue leaves to the leaf rubbings. |
|
|
|
Day 3: |
|
Display the Matisse
paintings. Demonstrate how to use black marker to add detail to their
pictures by creating designs and outlining the crayon rubbings and/or the
tissue paper leaves. |
