To the Parent – EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT  YOUR CHILD SHOULD ASK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE IN THEIR SCIENCE SPIRAL ON THE LAST PAGE. THEY SHOULD TEACH YOU ONE THING THEY LEARNED IN SCIENCE THIS WEEK. You should write down the date, one or two sentences explaining what was LEARNED, and your signature. Without your writing what was learned, full credit for the ‘teaching’ will not be earned by the student. This page will allow your son or daughter to better learn. When a person teaches another, both learn, but the ‘teacher’ often learns much more than the ‘student.’

TUTORING: I offer tutoring most mornings from 8:00 - 8:30am for any student who needs extra time to go over any information covered in class. In addition,  if a student has a failing major grade (test, notebook, project, etc.), they will have the opportunity to correct their errors to raise their grade up to a 70 during tutorials. This is also the best time to handle any make-up work missed during excused absences (please note that students only have the amount of days they were absent to make up their assignments so please encourage them to attend tutorials as soon as they return).

EXTRA CREDIT: DINOSAUR ISLAND ASSIGNMENT DUE FRIDAY, 2/26/2010

Any time a child wishes to earn extra credit, they may speak to me about opportunities.
