Poem of the week: The Pledge of Allegiance |
| Reading: Read with your child every night. While you are reading together, ask them what they think the pictures in the story are about. Ask them if they can make up a story to go with the pictures. | |
| Writing: Please practice letter identification and letter sounds with your child. A great activity to help children learn letter/sound connection is to label the things in their room. Ask them what sounds they think they hear and then write the letter down. If it is not spelled correctly, that's OK! Right now we are trying to get used to writing down the sounds that we hear. | |
| Math: This week we are starting to learn how to make patterns. Ask your child what an AB pattern is. Give your children healthy snacks like carrots and grapes and ask them to make a pattern with their snack before they eat it. Exciting! | |
