Our Visions
1) Teachers will be able to spend more time teaching and less time dealing with disruptive behaviors.
Measures: Increased test scores, more positive reports from guest teachers, less stress from micromanagement, parent communication dealing more with academics and less with behavior.
2) The hallways and common areas of our school will be “calmer” and free from chaos.
Measures: Smoother traffic flow, students on time to class, more appropriate language and behavior, fewer altercations.
3) All Staff will deal with student behavior in a consistent manner.
Measures: Earl and Cheryl’s follow-up visits; The Make Your Day leadership team and Student Leadership Team (composed of a diverse student group) will be used to monitor the consistency.
4) Students and staff will buy-in to owning the school (rule, procedures, climate)
Measures: Articulation to Earl, Cheryl, and other visitors, willingness of the staff to implement all aspects of MYD
5) The community will have a more positive perception of DeWitt Perry.
Measures: Enrollment, conversations with parents and community, attendance, increased parent involvement
