Let me introduce myself...

Mrs. Springer

My name is Sarita von Springer and I have taught at Country Place since 1988.  Yes, that is a long time but why leave such a fantastic school. I have taught first, second, and 1st/2nd mixed aged and this year I found myself moving up to the world of fifth grade.  Wow!!  What a change but it's great!!  Even though some are as big as me they are still kids that need attention, encouragement and positive influences. They make each day and adventure and they always manage to bring a smile to my face.

I was born in Newellton, Louisiana many years ago on Oct.7th.  I grew up in a wonderful family with mom, dad and my two older brothers, Tommy and William.  Growing up in a small town was great and I have wonderful childhood memories.  My mom and my brother's family still live there and it's always fun to go back and visit.

After graduation from high school, I attended LSU in Baton Rouge.  WOW, what an experience!!  Amazingly enough I graduated in 4 years and taught for one year outside of Baton Rouge.  College was a great time and I let my students know how important higher education is to their future.

I am married and have two fantastic kids, Alexandra (15) and Johnston (11).  Alexandra is our athlete, playing club soccer for Texas FC '92 girls.  Johnston plans on becoming President in 25 years.  They keep us busy but add so much joy to every day.

Being a mom, wife, and 5th grade teacher doesn't leave me with much free time but I do sometimes have some time for myself.  I love reading, shopping, exercising, and being with family and friends.  I am excited about my new class and getting to know them and their families.
