The Brook @ Blalack

Well it is summer vacation and the Brook is taking a break. Mr. Trout wishes all 2007-2008 Blalack Seventh Graders a restful vacation and good learning next year as students of U. S. history in Eighth Grade. Remember, Texas history is a part of U. S. history. Look for the connections. It was the love for our U. S. Constitution that influenced our early Texans to fight for freedom and liberty right here in our own state. Those men fighting at the Alamo and San Jacinto were the children and grandchildren of the men who rose up against the tyranny of King George III. The Texans of 1836 learned their lessons well from their fathers. May each of us never forget what it took to establish America as the land of the free. May we always honor our American legacy of freedom, liberty and independence. May we always be able to tell the tales of the men and women who made our country great and may we always, "Remember the Alamo!"

Class of 75

The Brook @ Blalack is an internet river coursing the "World Wide Web" with information about Mr. Trout's 7th grade Texas history classes at Charles M. Blalack Middle School, Carrollton, Texas.  The Brook has an excellent view of student projects, schedules for tests and tutoring, a table of Texas facts and state symbols, and a list of useful links for the study of Texas. So, don't just stand on the bank day dreaming of yesterday's catches or whining about the ones that got away. It's time to grab your flies, pull up your waders, and come on in for the fishing is great and the trout wait for no one.

The Brook@Blalack is a proud participant in catch and release.

Some circumstantial evidence is very strong, as when you find a trout in the milk.

May your waters be swift and pure, may your presentation be perfect, and of course, let there be trout.
