The 2010 Roar Yearbook

The Roar yearbook is published once a year and is distributed in the spring before school is out for the summer. Senior portraits are taken by Lifetouch Studios in Lewisville, Texas. Sports photos are taken by Fred Toulmin and by students in the AMAT Academy. All other photos are taken by yearbook staffers. The book is printed by Taylor Publishing Company in Dallas, Texas. The staff endeavors to cover all major school events and activities and to photograph as many students as possible so that the book is representative of the entire school. Although this year's staff has been selected, all underclassmen who are interested in graphic design, photography, or writing are encouraged to apply for a staff position for the 2010-2011 school year. Students who wish to apply should take photojournalism or Journalism 1. An application and tryout are also required.

The yearbook will cost $62. A $30 deposit may be made in the fall to reserve a copy, and the balance can be paid in the spring. Please write your telephone number and driver's license number on all checks, which should be made payable to R. L. Turner High School. Yearbooks may also be ordered online at the Taylor Publishing Company website (www.myyear.com), and credit cards are accepted.

YEARBOOK ADVERTISING is available  to all seniors. Advertisers may select photos and a personal message that will appear in the yearbook. This is an excellent way for parents to show their pride in their graduating senior. For an ad contract and information, please call the yearbook room at 972-968-5574.

The 2009 yearbook was completed on time and was well received by the students. It consisted of 160 pages, and all pages were full color. The 2010 book will also be all color. Many students at the end of the year inquired about buying extra books. We did have a few, which were sold quickly. Please order a book in the fall if you want one, especially if you're a senior. We don't order many extra books because if we don't sell them, we still have to pay Taylor Publishing Company to print them.
