** You may consult the C-FBISD calendar (www.cfbisd.edu) or the Landry calendar for specific assessment dates.
* State standards require that students pass TAKS Reading and Math to be promoted. Students will be given additional opportunities to pass if needed. Summer school may also be required.
There are three (3) TAKS tests taken by
all fourth graders in Texas:
Writing - Composition and Objective portions (taken in
March)
Reading (taken in April)
Mathematics (taken in April)
Students must pass all three examinations to be considered for promotion to fifth grade. Those who are unsuccessful will be required by the district to successfully complete summer school to be considered for promotion or placement.

Each year, the TEA provides interactive study guides
that can be accessed online. These study guides are a beneficial tool in
preparing your child for TAKS and reviewing information from TAKS.
