COMMUNICABLE DISEASE AND MEDICATION POLICY

When sending medications to school, please remember that ALL medications are to be turned in to the clinic and the proper paperwork must be filled out. This includes over the counter medications even cough drops. Please take a few extra minutes to review the district medication policy on our district website, my clinic webpage or in your student’s handbook.

IMMUNIZATIONS

Please remember to send a copy of any additional immunizations your son/daughter receives throughout the school year. Hepatitis B is a series of 3 immunizations for it to be complete, A Tetanus Booster is given every 10 years. Hepatitis A is not a district requirement at this time but it will be soon. If your student has started this series be sure to get the second immunization to be complete. You can review our immunization requirements on the district website as well as my clinic webpage.

SCHOOL SCREENINGS

Vision and Hearing screening is done on all new to district students. If you have concerns that your student may have an abnormality in one or all of these areas, please contact me to request a screening to be done on your student.
