Technical Theater
Tech Students will first work on learning the different areas of the
shop at RHS. Each student will understand the importance of keeping a clean and
ordered shop. Students will have assigned duties that will include maintaining
an organized shop. We will identify and understand the use of all the tools.
Students will learn how to operate the light boards and how to safely change lights and colored gels. We are currently working on the two light boards which serve the Black Box Theater and the Main Stage. All techies will know the 10 stage areas and the different parts of the stage.
I would like for theater students (actors and techies) to design our T-Shirt for 2009-2010. Submission of designs will be due the first few weeks of school.
Safety is number one in tech theater.
There is no room for horseplay or clowning in tech theater!
