Full Name: Katie Stemmermann
  Hometown:  Carrollton, TX!   I'm a Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD graduate.  (Rosemeade Elementary, Blalack Middle School, and Newman Smith High School)
 
  College: Texas A&M, whoop!  Class of 2002
  Teaching: The 08-09 school year will be my seventh year teaching but my first year at Tom Landry Elementary.  Prior to Landry I taught at another wonderful CFB school, Country Place, for 6 years.  I love kindergarten!  I have a passion for teaching kids to read and couldn't imagine teaching any other grade!  My goal is for every student to leave kindergarten as a confident learner that loves school and is ready for a successful school career.  Along with lots of books, technology is a big part of our classroom experience.  We're always using the computer, our technology cart and ACTIVboard, or making iMovies!  We even use iPods and have a podcast too!
 
  Interests:

Spending time with family and friends, Irving Bible Church, Carrollton Young Life, reading, shopping

  Favorites: Target, Starbucks, Music
 
  Family: My parents, Bill and Linda, live in Lewisville.  My mother is a nurse at Medical City in Dallas and my father is a regional sales manager for a paper company based out of Wisconsin.  My mom, "Mrs. Stemmermann," (as known by the kids) volunteers for our class.  My older brother, Jeff, is a financial analyst in Denver.
