I am married to Terry Smith who is a football coach at Newman Smith High School.

 I have 2 children

Tyler who is a Sophomore at Newman Smith

and Taryn who is a 6th grader at Long Elementary.

 I also have a black poodle named Flash.

 I graduated from Permian High School in Odessa Texas, from the movie Friday Night Lights

I went to College at Texas Tech University

This is my 20th year to teach.

I have taught 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades in Odessa, Houston (Lamar Consolidated ISD), West,  Plano (twice), Mansfield, and now Carrollton.

This is my 2nd year at Furneaux.
