What do we do?

The robotics team participates in the Botball tournament every school year. There is a regional and national competition that students prepare for. The students have to build and program robots out of LEGOS that can move around on their own, without remote controls. Each year the competition has a slightly different objective, and the robots have to move objects around a table to score points. Students must also document their building and programming processes. For more information visit www.botball.org.

In 2005, the robotics team also competed in the BEST tournament, building a remote controlled robot out of wood and other construction material. Student also have to document this competition. The robot is designed to perform different tasks and score a maximum of points possible. For more information visit www.bestinc.org.

Prospective Members

The robotics club is open to all students, freshmen through seniors. It meets once a week, except during tournament season, when students can be found in the Botball room every day after school.
