LAN Parties

What is a LAN (Local Area Network) Party?

LAN parties are fundraisers organized and sponsored by the Newman Smith Robotics Club to raise money for traveling to different events. Parties are typically held on a Friday and run from 3:00 pm-11:00 pm after school in room NW 126. The cost of attending the parties is $15 if paid before Thursday and $20 afterwards. The entry fee  pays for your dinner (usually pizza), snacks, drinks, and, of course, the gaming. Computers are provided to create the LAN connection, but game consoles are brought by attendees. Tournaments held for games are available based on demand.

Games: Halo 3, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Guitar Hero 3, Unreal Tournament 2004, Quake 3, Rock Band, Call of Duty 4, and others.
