In
November, the Leadership Academy hosted its first community service
project,
“Giving Thanks,” just in time for Thanksgiving. ![]() This school-wide canned goods collection made over 700 cans of non-perishable food items available for needy families in the Sheffield community.
As its second
community service project, the Leadership Academy hosted
“Mad for Magazines,” thanks to the support of Ms. Susan Watson, Chief Development Officer and Physician Relations.
As its third community service project, the Leadership Academy hosted “Bucks for Books: A Walk for the Cause,” a prize walk to raise money to purchase picture books for the patients at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. Co-sponsored by our local Wal-mart Supercenter and, supported by its manager Mr. Bret Patterson, the prize walk was a huge success! Over 200 students participated!
