Research Project Help

The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District has adopted Big6 as a process model of how to solve an information problem.  Successful information problem-solving includes six stages.

At Sheffield, we have adapted these six steps in a "Big Six Burger," created by our librarian, Mrs. Cooper.

Each row of the table links to a page that offers suggestions to help students work through each step of the research process.

1. Find out what you should do.
2. Choose the things that you should use.
3. Get the things that you will need.
4. Take out facts that you can use.
5. Finish the work that you must do.
6. Decide if you did your best work.
