Grading Policy:

60% of your grade will be based on summative activities, which will include tests and projects.  40% of your grade will be based on formative activities such as homework, classwork, quizzes and class participation.  The teacher will determine which activities are formative and which are summative.

Make-up work:

If you are absent, it is your responsibility to find out what you missed on the first day you are back in school.  You must turn in assignments within the allotted time period.  If you miss a test or quiz, you must make an appointment with me to make up an alternative test/quiz.  Summative assignments given due dates must be turned in by that date to avoid assessment of a late work penalty.

Semester Exam: The semester exam will make up 20% of the semester grade.

Tardies:  Students are tardy if they are not in their seat when the last bell rings.  See school policy for enforcing tardies.

Homework:  You are expected to complete assignments not finished in class.  To successfully manage the amount of academic material, homework also involves daily review of the geographic concepts and material covered in class.

Late Work:  NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED.  If you are absent, you are allotted one day for each day of class you missed.  It is your responsibility, before or after school, to find out what assignments you have missed.

Tutorials:  I will be available every morning at 7:00 and after school unless I have a school related meeting.
