Here's a good one. Recently several of
my students have been asking me how
to solve a Rubik's cube
.

Here's a different way to solve a Rubik's
cube, from ChessandPoker.com. it's not
the same method I use, but it works...

Click here to see the official
Rubik's Cube web site.

(Unfortunately the school district filter system does not
allow access to this site using a school computer. You
can only use this link from your home computer.)

I have purchased some materials
before, from companies like IASCO
and Kelvin Electronics.
Google SketchUp is an interesting drawing program that was brought to my
attention several months ago. My son has been using it at home now for quite
some time, having become an expert on it. I like the fact that it's a FREE
download, doesn't cost anything. You can get your own copy of it here.
One of my PNN students has come up with some interesting stuff for us to use.
Check out some of it at his web site, http://www.freewebs.com/josher2468.

I was watching a show on television today, and the host of the show was
interviewing different people at an auto show. There was one particular
item, the "Radurra" wheel rim that really impressed me. Check out the
Radurra here
, or the host web site, Forgiato, here.
Here's a web site for you... www.spectrum.ieee.org is the Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers web site. I was introduced to this site when
one of my students was working on a current event assignment for class. She
brought in the September 2002 issue of Spectrum magazine that her Dad
subscribes to. He's a member of IEEE. Take a look, but plan to stay there a
while, it's got a LOT of good information.
