Biography:

I graduated from Borger Senior High School, in Borger, Texas in 1971.  I received my Bachelors of Education Degree from The University of North Texas in 1975.   I worked 23 years in the Automotive Finance, Automotive Rental and Home Mortgage Industries before using my Education degree.  I began my education career in the CFBISD in 1998 as a substitute teacher. I began teaching full time at R L Turner High School in 1999.  I teach World Geography and have taught World History at Turner. The past 10 years teaching the kids of Farmers Branch have been the most rewarding years of my career.

My wife and I love to travel during the summer.  We own a time share on the island of St Martin, in the Caribbean, which we go to every year.  We have traveled to the Algarve in Portugal,

to Athens Greece and the Greek Islands of Santorini and Mykonos, to Crete, to Rome Italy  and Tuscany, to Paris France, and the wilds of Alaska and Canada.  Traveling has given me a unique glimpse of the world and other cultures which I love to bring to my classroom.  It is great to show pictures of myself standing on the Eiffel Tower in Paris, walking on the ancient floors of the Coliseum in Rome, posing in front of the Parthenon in Athens or sailing the beautiful seas of the Caribbean.  I hope my passion of traveling opens the eyes of my students to all the beauty  the world offers.
