Each student is required to attend at least two events within a nine week period, in which they will take pictures, interview and capture the essence of the event from a journalistic standpoint. I realize that many students are heavily involved in school activities already, however arrangements will be made so they are able to attend their events. Transportation to and from events is the responsibility of the student. Please help your students the best you can. Students may use their own cameras, or if they don't have one, cameras are available for check out.

Attending an assigned event and documenting it appropriately is a test grade!

Each student is expected to contribute story ideas and work collaboratively with the rest of the newspaper staff. Each student will write at least one article for each issue of the newspaper, continuously editing and rewriting it until it the best it can be.

Meeting Deadlines is crucial. Please encourage your student to stay on top of his/her responsibilities to their staff.
