Q. How can I  hide inactive students?
    A.
 Setup menu
   
 Select Display
        Select Spreadsheet tab
                Bullet Hide Inactive Students

Q.    How will grades for new students be affected?  Ex:  If they come in 4 weeks into the 6 weeks will this automatically change their weight/average? 
   
A. The weight stays the same, but only the grades in the grade book will calculate.

Q    Since this is connected to SASI will the attendance  be automatically added to the report card? 
   
A.    Attendance is generated in CLASSxp and does print from there to the report card.

Q.    What about special G/T projects?  Can you set it up to give grades to only a few students? 
    A.   
Leave it blank or type EXE or Omit for the grade to be ignored.

Q.    I have a student that is excused for an assignment so I do not want that missing assignment average in at all.   How is this done?
    A.    For the assignment to be excluded: Leave the score blank Use EXE  or  Omit as the score.

Q.    Missing Score to Count as a ZERO in the Average
    A.   
Elementary campuses will use an I as the score for a missing assignment.  The I will average as a zero.

Q.    What if we group for Reading and Writing/Composition are taught in the homeroom? 
    A.    The teachers will keep their own grades for Composition and Spelling and at the end of the six weeks the Reading teacher will give the Reading Grades to the homeroom teacher and they will manually enter the grades in the End term field.

Q.    On progress reports do the notes show for a specific task?
   
A.    Yes, if you choose to print the notes all notes will be printed.

Q.    Printing progress reports who does it?
   
A.    Teachers for each subject print their own progress reports.

Q.    Withdrawls-- Do names disappear?
   
A.    If a student withdraws, a tilde (~) will show by the students name.

Q.    How does ESL do their grades?
   
A.    ESL will have a separate grade book that will go into the report card in a separate section.

Q.    When a teacher is using one grade for several subjects, do they manually add the grade for each subject?  Or is there a way to copy the grade for each subject? 
    A. There is a way to copy grades.  It is called replace task.  This technique will be covered in phase two of training.  I can stop by next week to show some of your teachers and they can pass it on or have your campus ITS contact me.

Q.    On report cards, if the grades are below 50, will InteGrade Pro round the grade to a 50 as per district policy? 
    A. Teachers must change  grades less than 50 to 50 in the end term.

Q.    Do either of you know a way to print all subjects onto a single sheet? I am sure there must be a way, I just can’t figure it out.            A. A progress report can be generated showing multiple classes on one sheet.
        Select
Reports on the menu bar inside IgPro
        Choose
Multiclass
        Un
X classes that you do not want to include on the report
        Put
X in items to be included on the spreadsheet (Task List, Graph, Missing Task List, etc)
        Teachers will probably want to try different combinations until they get what the desired look

Q. What are the "Character Ed Headings?"
  A.
    Cooperation
    Citizen/Service
    Integrity
    Pride
    Responsibility
    Respect

    Q. Can I print in ClassXP
    A. To Print Grades in ClassXP by Class
Open the Class (i.e. math)
Hold down the shift key and click on the columns that you want to print
Go to file and pull down to “Print”
Click on “An Expanded Table”
Put check mark in “Print selected rows and columns only”
Click OK
 

Other Misc items:

  1. You can duplicate a task but not the grades you entered for that task (like using a writing task for reading also)
  2. To print a progress report with all grade for all subjects for students, use Reports and Multi-Class (I am sure Jim R. emailed this to us).
  3. When you enter a New Task on the Web, click Save Grade Book, then click Edit Scores to enter grades.  Use the drop down to change to another Task.
  4. You have to alphabetize at school for it to show up alphabetized on the web.
  5. Tasks are listed in order of how they are entered, you can not put them in any kind of “date” order.
