Walking is moving the feet alternately with one foot always in contact with the ground. The weight of the body is carried forward and the arms swing naturally in opposition to the feet. Skipping is a series of step-hops done with alternating feet. Skipping is done on the balls of the feet with the arms swinging in opposition of the feet. Galloping is in a forward direction. One foot leads and the other is brought up to it rapidly with an upward motion. Running is moving rapidly with alternating feet, in such a manner that for a brief instant both feet are off the ground. Leaping is an elongated step designed to cover a distance or go over a low obstacle gaining height through space. Sliding is done to the side. It is a quick movement, with the lead foot stepping to the side and the other foot following quickly. Hopping is moving up and down on one foot. Jumping is taking off with both feet and landing on both feet.
