Healthy Choice

Exercise Raise your heart rate for at least 20 minutes each day.

When you look good, you feel good.  Physical fitness is the condition in which your body works its best.  Choose fitness for a healthy life.

It is easier to stay fit than to get fit, so start young and exercise everyday.

Eating Choose "Go Foods" most of the time.
Choose "Slow Foods" some of the time.
Choose "Whoa Foods" just once in a while (Is it worth it?)

Obesity means "too much fat".  If you have too much fat you are at risk for diabetes, heart disease, and other diseases.  To avoid obesity, exercise each day and eat mostly "Go Foods".

Emotions You should be content and generally happy most of the time.  Joy, sadness, anger, disappointment, guilt, and other extreme feelings stay with us for a short period of time.  If you have any of these feelings for more than a few days, talk to your parents, your teacher, or a friend about how you feel.
Sleep Get 8 to 11 hours of sleep each night.
Hygiene Wash your hands several times a day.
Brush your teeth each day.
Keep yourself clean each day.
Keep your clothes clean.
Hints:  Wash off each morning with soap and water.
           Wear clean clothes.
           Use deodorant in the morning, if you can smell
               an odor on yourself after playing.
            Ask the teacher to help you, if you are having a
                problem staying clean.
Drugs Stay away from drugs.  Say "No"!  Drugs lead to death or jail.  Drugs can trick your brain into thinking drugs are ok.  Drugs are not ok.  Drugs kill people we love.  Don't do drugs.
