My Education
and Work Experience
I attended Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. I received a BS in Elementary Education. I taught for the Dallas Independent School District for 7 years and then came to Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD 3years ago. I taught at the 5th(1yr.),2nd (1yr.)and Kindergarten (3yrs.)levels, then taught Descubriendo La Lectura (Bilingual Reading Recovery)(3yrs.). I have been at Kent Elementary for the past 6 years teaching Pre-K. All of my years of teaching have been teaching in a Bilingual Classroom. By being Bilingual my self I have learned the importance and benefits that knowing two languages brings each person. I love teaching bilingual and ESL children and its a joy for me to see how each little person is able to communicate in more than one language.
