Students, if you purchased a parking sticker, but have not met with Security to have the sticker placed on your windshield, you can still be towed!  You have until Friday morning to get that sticker!

 

We will be on Pep Rally schedule this Friday.  Seniors, if you have Senior Out first period, you need to be here at 8:15 for 2nd period.

 

Buy your Chick-Fil-A breakfast biscuits in the foyer on Friday! Support your Senior class and buy a biscuit for $2.50. You can only purchase a biscuit before school so come early for your Chick-Fil-A!

 

Seniors… Do you need a Senior shirt? Come and purchase yours in D201 for $15 cash and celebrate your Senior year!

 

Students who are attending the Student Appreciation Luncheon on November 13th need to turn in their permission from to the Counselor’s office ASAP. Also, don’t forget to work on your Essays. The due date for essays has been extended until Friday, November 6th, by 3:00 PM.  The grand prize for the winning ESSAY last year was a laptop computer. Good luck!

 

Anyone planning on running for a Sophomore Exec officer position must attend a meeting this Friday at 2:35 in Ms. Beverage’s room! 

 

Game Club will meet on Friday in E96 after school until 4:00.

 

Mock Trial will have a very short meeting Friday, November 6th in B221 to discuss the overview of the case.  Bring your packet.  If you have not picked yours up, see Mrs. Dumerer in B221.  The meeting will end about 3:10.

 

The RL Turner Choir Comedy Dinner Show is November 12th.  For $10 you will enjoy fajita tacos, tamales and enchiladas plus dessert all while being entertained by talented young musicians. Tickets are on sale now through this Friday, November 6th. Tickets may be purchased through any RL Turner Choir Member or by calling Ms. Wheless at 972-968-5449. Dinner is served at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria and the show begins at 7:00 p.m. Act Fast! Tickets will be gone very soon! Dessert tickets will be available at the door for $5.00. This is a Scholarship Fundraiser and we can't wait to see you all there!

 

Isn’t Key Club a club for people who want to make keys or something? Actually, Key Club is an international community service organization. We are involved in raising money to fight AIDS, childcare for various elementary schools, face-painting at Challenge Air events, and more. If you are interested in serving your community alongside your friends, talk to Mrs. Hicks in room S102 any time. Key Club Week is this week. If you see any key clubber participating, ask them how you can join this wonderful organization. Tomorrow is “Your Way” Day – Be who you are and come to the potluck/movie social!!

 

It’s the greatest time of the year again…Basketball Season is here and ready to kick-off this Tuesday, November 10th as your Lady Lion Basketball Teams host the first annual “Jam the Gym”! The Lady Lions will be taking on Sunset High in what should be some great games! We want to jam the gym though and show everyone in the area that we have the greatest fans and greatest basketball teams around! So invite your friends and family for a great time! The first 50 students will receive a free hot dog, chips and drink!  The JV and Freshmen tip-off at 5:30PM and the Varsity tips-off at 7:00PM! We’ll see you on Tuesday night showing your Turner Pride!!!

 

The last day to order a yearbook will be Friday, December 11th.  We only order yearbooks for people who make a deposit, so if you want one this year, bring your $30 deposit!  Yearbook staff members will be in the cafeteria every Tuesday and Thursday or you may make a deposit in the Main Office. Total cost is $62.  You may pay by cash or check at school, or you may go online to pay with a credit card at www.myyear.com
