Crime Stoppers is offering $100 for any amount of illegal drugs seized from any student at RL Turner High School during the month of November.  You will remain anonymous.  Contact Officer Langston or an Assistant Principal if you have information.

College tutorials have begun again, and we guarantee your grades will go up if you attend. Tutors from Brookhaven College are available from 3:00-5:00 on every Tuesday and Thursday. We have three new tutors with expertise in math, as well as bilingual tutors. If absences are approved for make-up this is one way to make up absences. We look forward to seeing you there.

It’s the greatest time of the year again…Basketball Season is here and ready to kick-off this Tuesday, November 10^th as your Lady Lion Basketball Teams host the first annual “Jam the Gym”! The Lady Lions will be taking on Sunset High in what should be some great games! We want to jam the gym though and show everyone in the area that we have the greatest fans and greatest basketball teams around! So invite your friends and family for a great time! The first 50 students will receive a free hot dog, chips and drink!  The JV and Freshmen tip-off at 5:30PM and the Varsity tips-off at 7:00PM! We’ll see you on Tuesday night showing your Turner Pride!!!

Attention Sophomores!  Campaigning will take place this week for Sophomore Exec Officer Positions.  Listen closely to future announcements to hear who the nominees are.  Voting for sophomore class president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and historian will be on Thursday and Friday of this week and is only open to sophomores.  Come support the class of 2012 by voting!

The last day to order a yearbook will be Friday, December 11^th.  We only order yearbooks for people who make a deposit, so if you want one this year, bring your $30 deposit!  Yearbook staff members will be in the cafeteria every Tuesday and Thursday or you may make a deposit in the Main Office. Total cost is $62.  You may pay by cash or check at school, or you may go online to pay with a credit card at www.myyear.com. 

Senior Ads for the yearbook are available in the Main Office and from Mr. Toulmin in B204.
