The ASVAB test will be given in the back of the library on Tuesday, December 1st, at 7:30 a.m. Please sign up in the counseling office to take this free test. Included in the test is an interest inventory and career assessment. It is a very informative test that yields valuable information about the most interesting person you know – you! The results of the test will be delivered and analyzed for you by a school counselor, not a military recruiter. This is a free test, but the information you receive is priceless! (And could cost up to $700 from a private testing service!) Sign up today!!! If you would like to prepare for the ASVAB, our RLT library website provides access to the Gale Testing database. You have to register, but it is free as well.
TWU is having a Bilingual Open House this Saturday, November 21. They will have a drawing for $1,000 to go toward tuition! There will be information sessions on admissions, financial aid, housing, student life, a bilingual student panel, and a campus tour. If you are interested in trying out for the girls' soccer team, try-outs will be held the 3 days after Thanksgiving break. To try out you must have a copy of a completed physical. You can get a physical form from Coach Day in C202 or Coach Maher in C208.
The next Big Student Council Meeting will be Tuesday, December 1, from 6-8 pm in the cafeteria. Committee projects will be due then. This meeting is mandatory, so make sure you attend.
Ireland travelers, the last payment for the trip must be mailed by Tuesday, December 1st!
Tennis tryouts for the Spring season will be held December 1st, 2nd, and 3rd from 2:45 until 4:30. All players who are trying-out will need a completed physical prior to December 1st. Please see Coach Fair in room C105 or Coach Myrick in room B212 for all paperwork. We look forward to seeing you on the courts.
Seniors if you are applying to UT Austin or Texas A&M, their admission deadline is December 15 and their Scholarship deadline is tomorrow, December 1. SMU’s and TCU’s admission deadline is in January so hurry and apply before it’s too late!
The last day to order a yearbook will be Friday, December 11th. Bring your $30 deposit to the Main Office. Total cost is $62. You may pay by cash or check at school, or you may go online to pay with a credit card at www.myyear.com.
