What do
we want students to learn or be able to do? Performance Indicators Students will
continually focus on the 4 fundamental aspects of second language learning: listening, speaking, reading, and
writing. Students will
learn and utilize new ‘seasonal’
vocabulary in a variety of oral and written activities. Students will
create a vocabulary word chart in
which they write a series of sentences related to ‘Fall’ terminology,
complete with translations and illustrations. (*Sentences- focus on senses.) Students will understand the basic parts of a
short story and utilize this knowledge in creating their own stories. Students will continue to practice the 5 senses
(by using them for a ‘scary setting’ and ‘scary mood’ for their
stories). Students
will continue the composition of a
short story and work with a partner through the planning, writing, and
revision process. Learning
Goals: Students will understand the basic writing process. (Pre-writing, planning,
revising/ editing, etc.) Students will understand 5 senses the and how
