5.13C - Graph a given set of data

 
The Texas Education Agency states:
When matching data with an appropriate graphical representation, students will represent all the data points accurately, use correct labels, show whether data is discrete or continuous, and determine that the graphical representation contains all the information provided by the set of data.  Graphical representations my include, but are not limited to, pictographs, bar graphs, number line graphs, broken line graphs, Venn Diagrams, and scatterplots.  Data may be imbedded in text or may be organized in a list, table, or tally chart.
 
Lessons:
Day 1
Students will choose the right type of graph.  Students will define when to use the following types of graphs:  Line graph, bar graph, pictograph, pie chart, stem-and-leaf plot, Venn diagram.

Students will choose a correct scale and interval based on the data
