Aviation Career Education (ACE Academy) -
Students: If you are between the ages of 14 – 18 and want to
explore careers with aviation professionals, get a behind-the-scenes look at the
aviation industry and government facilities, and learn more about the high tech
world of aviation, then this career education program is for you!
June 9-13, 2009 (day camp) 8:00
a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Lunches and snacks are
included. You must provide your own transportation to DFW Airport.

Autonomous Vehicles Laboratory Workshop
The University of Texas @ Arlington is offering a FREE one week summer workshop to students entering the 11th or 12th grades in the fall of 2009. The workshop is 9:00am to 4:00pm on July 27-31. Topics include College of Engineering degree exposure and summaries, problem solving from an engineering approach, and multidisciplinary aspects of vehicle design. This is a great opportunity for high school students to gain exposure to UTA and its engineering facility, and recieve an overview of engineering as an applied skill set.

Texas A&M College Station will be hosting Camp ARCH this summer from July 12th through the 18th.
Camp Arch is an exclusive week-long interdisciplinary experience designed to acquaint students with the study of and potential careers in professions utilizing architecture, visualization, construction science, landscape architecture, and urban planning.
Activities include lectures, design/building activities, digital photo, video editing and presentations by faculty in the College of Architecture. Additional activities include workshops in basic design and materials, individual and group projects, a review and critique of projects, and information about attending Texas A&M University and the College of Architecture.
