ACCEPTING OUR LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION McCoy Elementary PTA Alumni Scholarship - Each student needs to: 1.   Complete the District Application (http://sasiportal.cfbisd.edu:2222/localscholarshipmenu.htm) 2.   Submit 3 References – 2 Teacher references and 1 outside reference 3.   Submit a short essay (1 page or less) discussing college plans, what being a student at McCoy meant, and a little about the type of person they are today.(activities, awards, offices held) 4.   Return the complete application, references, and essay to the counselors office by Thursday May 14, 2009 Texas Department of Transportation-$6,000 per year while in college.  Must be pursuing a degree in civil engineering, computer science, or computer information and management systems. Must plan to attend a Texas four-year public college or university as a full-time student. Must commit to work for the Texas Dept. of  Transportation for 2 years following graduation. The Iris Society: Rudi Fuchs Memorial Scholarship - Must be planning to major in HORTICULTURE. More information and applications available in Student Services. Application must be postmarked by April 30.

Association of Texas Professional Educators Scholarship - (For students pursuing a teaching career) Applications available HERE, or in Student Services. Due in Student Services by May 15, 2009.

Richardson/Plano Guide Right Foundation Scholarship (Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.) - $1000 scholarships. Essay and interview required. More information and applications available in Student Services. Deadline May 15, 2009.

Christ Community Connection - Application available in Student Services. Deadline April 30, 2009.

Country Place Elementary Alumni Scholarship - Must have attended Country Place Elementary. Application available HERE. Additional copies of application available in Student Services. Deadline - April 22.

Blalack Middle School Alumni Scholarship -

Application forms are currently available for the Blalack Middle School Alumni Scholarships. The Blalack PTA is proud to announce that two $500.00 scholarships will be awarded in May. To be considered for this award, students must be graduating from a CFB-ISD high school during the current school year, have attended Blalack for minimum of two school years and completed an application form. Application forms must be completed and postmarked by  Tuesday, April 28, 2009 . The forms are available HERE or in RHS Student Services. Blanton Elementary Scholarship Application
