Greg and I were discussing how cool this discussion board has been. We both thought wouldn't it be neat if we could do this with our students? I envision a small group of students reading the same novel and participating in a literature circle. In place of some literature discussions face to face they participate in a discussion through the discussion board. They could be responsible for a certain number of posts/replies per week to be done when they have time during the school day. I certainly believe 4th and 5th graders are responsible enough for this but I'm sure it could go even younger.... CFB does so much with technology, I don't see why not!
