I am Amy Miller. I teach fourth grade, and I love it...I was originally GT certified back in the 1980s. When I came back to the district five years ago, no one could locate the original records, so I had to be recertified. I originally recieved my GT Certification through Garland and what was once East Texas State...now A & M Commerce. While I was in Garland, I taught at their first Gifted and Talented Elementary Academy. We served academically, artistically, and musically gifted children. The school was also made up of 1/4 neighborhood children who did and didn't qualify in one of the gifted areas. I loved working their...not as much as Rainwater mind you, but it was fun...
