One thing I do, every now and then with my Rainwater students, and even with the students I teach on Saturdays at another school, is that I bring up my current personal pictures that I keep in a folder for my desktop slide show. These are personal, but not too intimate. They love to see all my family, friends, pets, etc. Each picture has a story which leads lots of giggles and sometimes a little sadness. (Like when I share the picture of our dog that died in December). I think I am able to share with the students more about me than what they see each day just as their teacher. Great thought, Dana.
