I think that students in primary schools basically love their teachers and have no concept of them being individuals. If they see you at the grocery store, they are amazed that you really do shop for food and eat like a normal person. We are their greatest hero and model----it is an awesome responsibility. The GT student who naturally has a more critical view of people sometimes questions/tests a teacher's authority for this reason.
