On page 22 it says, "opportunities need to exist for children to work with different groups for different purposes e.g. interest, ability, mixed ability, friendship, age and stage related, cross age and stage etc." I know we group by ability and sometimes by mixed ability but how often do we group based on interest, friendship or across different grade levels? Again, is this because of the focus on testing in the state of TX? Do we even have time to explore these different types of groupings?
