Greg, I think the culture of school changes every year, especially if the teachers/teams change. Even though the culture can be defined by changes in student population, I would argue that the master teacher would rise above any of these obstacles. After all, it is the teacher's obligation to "get the job" done "no matter what". And even more importantly, the role/philosophy of the current/new principal has a direct impact on a school's culture as well as academic success. Regards, Carol
