Greg, I am so glad you joined us! I have to say one of the first things I noticed was the British spelling and it drives me crazy too! I just finished reading a book by C.S. Lewis and he does the same thing! I enjoyed your comments about class size. I have often thought about the same thing. I definitely think smaller class size has a positive impact on students and our ability to meet each of their needs. Maybe the issue of collaboration could be solved by having students work together across classes when possible. This has nothing to do with working with GT students but I have also often wondered how school size effects student success. When I was teaching I was at a school with more than double the number of students at Rainwater. As an administrator, counselor, instr. facilitator, etc. I think it would be so difficult to really get to know and meet the needs of that many students, teachers, and parents. I've often thought that if I went back to get my PhD I would be interested in doing some research in that area.
