SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION
Summer Camps are a great way to keep your playing chops in gear for the next school year, and to play some really cool music with teachers that are someone besides the two of us. You will improve as a musician at any camp you attend, and there are lots of great camps to chose from that are around the state. Here are some camps that we KNOW are great!
CFBISD Middle School
Orchestra Camp
This will be the 2nd year of this camp - it will be run very similarly to other
"away" camps - but it will be at Barbara Bush MS - and it only costs $35!!!!
Summer Strings Camp at
University of Texas at Arlington
This is the camp Mrs. Gauthier works at. There are lots of
different orchestras for ALL ability levels, and the counselors are very cool
and fun.

Texas Cello Academy
Awesome for cello players that are advanced...probably not the best place
for a 1st or 2nd year cellist, but more for someone who is really serious about
their cello playing. This camp takes place at UTA in Arlington.
Beginner and
Intermediate Bass Camp at UNT
If you are a bass player, you need to go to
this camp. Mr. Bradetich and Mr. Seaton are two of the best bassists in
the country, and the opportunity to study with them should NOT be passed up.
