Texas Monthly Magazine published its list of Best Public Schools in Texas using the National Center

for Educational Accountability (formerly Just for the Kids) data. 

This year we had fourteen schools make the list (Blanton, Good, Kent, Landry, McCoy, McKamy, Blalack, Bush, Field, Long, Polk, Creekview, Smith and Ranchview.)

 Last year we had eight schools make the list (Blanton, McKamy, Country Place, McCoy, Long, Field, Blalack and Polk.)
