The Newman Smith Percussion Club began in the spring of 2007 as an additional performance opportunity for 6th-12th grade percussion students.

The club is free and open to any percussion student currently enrolled in band at any CFB middle school, as well as current Smith students.

The club meets weekly throughout the spring semester, and participates in the annual Smith percussion concert. In efforts to further the study of music, percussion students from any CFB middle school are welcome to participate, regardless of zoning for high school.
