Video Production Online Curriculum

Introduction to Video Production

The BBMS Video Production Online Curriculum is designed to fulfill the Technology Applications: Video Technology course for Middle School outlined by Texas Education Code. In this online course you learn about video technology by following the three main steps of video production:

Your Video Production Binder

To keep track of your learning activities, you can ask for a binder to hold course materials you receive or print out during your study. The binder is kept in the library so you have access to it while you are studying video production. Binders are returned to Ms P at completion of the coursework.

Classroom Guidelines
The first document for you to print out is  "Video Production Classroom Guidelines." Read the class rules carefully and be sure you understand classroom requirements. Then sign the document and place it in the front of your binder.

Self-Paced Online Instructional Modules

Course information is presented through 3-part instructional modules that include:

  1. a Careers-in-Television handout
  2. a Lesson of readings, videos, handouts, and equipment use
  3. a Project that utilizes new and prior learning.

You can work at your own pace to complete the modules, but you must complete the appropriate instructional module to use Video Production Lab equipment in the BBMS Library-Media Center.

Instructional modules are organized by the jobs that must be performed during the 3 steps of video production. Each module builds on knowledge and skills developed in previous modules.
