Meet Mr. Newman

This is my second year teaching fifth grade at Riverchase Elementary School. I am excited to be a part of this wonderful and warm learning community.
I grew up in Tacoma, Washington. My parents still live in the same house I grew up in. I live in Lewisville with my wife, Emily and son, Gabriel.
Here's a bit more information on my educational background. I attended Grambling State University before graduating from Pacific Lutheran University with a B.A. in History in 2004. From there, I earned an M.S. in Special Education and licensure in Elementary Education at Radford University. I am a lifelong learner, so I look forward to continuing my education throughout my teaching career.
In my classroom, I work hard to build a sense of community among my students, and I emphasize the idea of teamwork. I also believe in establishing connections throughout our living area through community service. I welcome parents and family into our classroom to be a part of the learning process. I believe that great things can happen when we work together!
