BIO: Hi, I'm Ms. Murray, 8th grade Pre Advanced Placement and Regulars Language Arts teacher. I graduated college as a Southwest Texas Bobcat in 2003.
Following graduation, I began my career with Garland I.S.D., where I taught 7th English, 8th English, 7th grade T.A.K.S. Reading Improvement, AND 7/8 Communication Applications! Wow! What a first year! After being 'baptized by fire', I decided to move to CFBISD. This district is such a wonderful, warm, and welcoming place to be. I absolutely LOVE Perry, and am so thankful to be an EAGLE! Last year I, along side Mr. Copeland, became sponsors for Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

This year I am the "Quick Craft" club sponsor. We meet every Tuesday from 4:00-5:00 in room D212. The motto of our club is: Pay it Forward. We create fun, quick, cute crafts that we are able to send in mass quantities to needy children, and our hard working military.
I am currently working on my Masters at A&M-Commerce, and in my spare time I teach the E.L.A.R. exit class for Region 10...Basically, I'm teaching soon-to-be teachers the ropes that they will soon be climbing. :-)

Me: Enthusiastic, happy, and extremely flexible to the needs, learning styles, and desires of my students! I love the challenge that teaching provides, and never go a day without learning something new from these wonderful Perry children!

Kids like competition. These pie charts are posted in my room. They illustrate the break down of 'A's, 'B's, 'C's, and 'F's within each of my classes at the close of the first nine weeks.

Language Arts: My LA classes are currently on a research unit. They will be receiving MANY grades from this project! It's imperative that they keep up with the work on a daily basis and pay attention in class.
I am attaching the Research Power Point, and the Bibliography Worksheet. I have required each class to find at least ONE outside source from the public library.
They will need to document the information on this worksheet. Feel free to print it out for your child.

TAKS Reading Improvement: My fourth and fifth period are competing against each other. We have, so originally, named our competition...
