The Busiest Month of the Year is now HERE! We start off with the TAKS retake test on May 13th. Next we get to celebrate all of our diversity with the McWhorter Talent Show, GT parent meeting, and the final PTA meeting all on the same night. May 20th - GT at 6:30, PTA at 7:00 followed by the Talent Show. Come cheer all of our students on! We have two four day weeks this month. We have Friday, May 23 off because we didn't use our bad weather day. We have the next Monday, May 26th off for Memorial Day. Be on the lookout for field trip permission slips also, since there are lots on the schedule. And don't forget to wear sunscreen if you are going to be outside. It is already so hot outside! Monday, June 2nd is McWhorter Field Day. Everyone will spend a lot of time outside. Be sure to wear your sunscreen. Tuesday, June 3rd is an early release day. School will let out at 12:45. Wednesday, June 4th is the End of the Year Awards Ceremony. Look for more information closer to this date. School will let out at 12:45. Thursday, June 5th is the FINAL Day of the School Year! We will be doing class parties and congratulating the fifth graders on their graduation. School will let out at 12:45.
