Uniform Information

McLaughlin Elementary School Uniform Policy

1. Navy or Khaki pants (classic style), walking shorts (classic style), skirts, skorts or jumpers.  Skirts, skorts and jumpers are to be no more than 4 inches above the knee.
2. No baggies or cargo pants, no colors or noticeable designs.  Pants must be hemmed, no longer than the bottom of the heel of the shoe, have no frays or holes, must fit at the waist and be worn at the waist (on the top of the hipbone.)
3. Shirts must be the colors of solid White, Navy or Red.  All shirts must be tucked in.  No extremely noticeable logos are allowed.
4. Style of shirts is optional, but must meet color and dress code requirements.  Examples would be polo, button down or turtlenecks.
5. Layered clothing (sweater, vest or sweatshirt) is optional using a blue, white, or red solid color guidelines.
6. Belts are optional, if pants fit at the waist (on top of the hipbone).
7. Hosiery/socks are to be solid White, Navy, or Red.  Girls' tights are to be White, Navy, Red, or Natural.
8. Winter jackets may be any color but should not be intended to be worn in the school building during the school day.
9. Fridays are Spirit Days.  Any McLaughlin T-shirt (purchased from McLaughlin PTA) may be worn with the approved Navy or Khaki pants (classic style), walking shorts (classic style), skirts, skorts, jumpers, or jeans.
10. All other Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD policies on dress code will be observed.
