McLaughlin Elementary
School Information
|
2006 Texas
Recognized School |
History:
Originally Webb Chapel Elementary, the school was constructed in 1959.
The name of the school was later changed after the death of a former
principal, Neil Ray McLaughlin, in 1967. Mr. McLaughlin also served in the
school district as a teacher at Carrollton High School, assistant
Principal at Vivian Field Junior High School, and principal at the old
Farmers Branch Elementary School.
We currently serve students in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth
grade. A qualified, caring staff has developed special programs to meet
the individual needs of students, whether they need academic support or
gifted services. Our active PTA and volunteer program enhances the sense
of community that McLaughlin is noted for.
