• Arrival:  The doors to McLaughlin and Strickland will open at 7:30 each morning.  There is no supervision for students before that time.
       McLaughlin - Students enter through the doors in the center of the building and go to the cafeteria to wait for their teacher to pick them up.
       Strickland - Students enter through the cafeteria doors to the right of the main doors to wait for their teacher to pick them up.

• Tardies:  Students will go to class at 7:50 a.m. and are tardy at 8:10.  Please have your child at school BY 7:50 so that their day can start off smoothly.  Thank you!  (Remember, 3 tardies = 1 absence!)

• Absences:  If your child is absent, please call the appropriate school office to let us know the reason for the absence.  We must also receive a note stating your child's name, reason for absence and the date.  This note must, by district policy, be received within 5 days of the absence.

• Early Dismissal:  If you must pick your child up early due to an appointment, you must come in to the office to sign them out.  Please allow at least five minutes for us to get your child(ren) so that you are not late for your appointment.  We will not allow children to wait in the office so that a loss in class time is minimized.  In addition, due to instructional issues, no child will be able to leave between 2:30 and 3:10 p.m.

• Regular dismissal:  Dismissal time is 3:10 p.m.  Please make sure that your child's teacher knows how your child will get home.  For your child's safety, if a change is made in how your child gets home, you MUST send a note to your child's teacher telling of the change.  

• Late dismissal:  If an emergency arises and you must arrive after 3:25, you must come in to the office and sign your child out.  (If possible, please call the school office to tell us of your being late.  Your children often worry that something has happened to you, and we can calm their fears!)
