Clothes Closet- This organization provides new and used clothing to families in need. Please contact me if your family could benefit from this resource. Also, if you have clothes that you wish to donate, please drop them in the Clothes Closet bin located at the school. Map to Standridge Stadium 1330 W Valwood Parkway Carrollton, TX 75006 The Clothes Closet is located in the northwest bottom corner of the stadium.
C-FB Council of PTAs - Clothes Closet Guidelines for Clients 2007 - 2008
§ Hours: 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on designated Thursdays and 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. on designated Monday evenings. (Please arrive no later than 11:45 a.m. for daytime dates and 7:15 p.m. for evening dates. You will have 45 minutes to select your clothing.)
§ Bring the REFERRAL FORM from the counselor. A separate REFERRAL FORM is REQUIRED for each visit. These are obtained from the school counselor, principal, nurse, or CIS agent.
§ DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN OUT OF SCHOOL TO MAKE THESE SELECTIONS.
§ IMPORTANT: FOR SAFETY REASONS, PLEASE DO NOT BRING CHILDREN WHEN PICKING UP YOUR CLOTHING FROM THE CLOTHES CLOSET. Please arrange baby sitting for younger children. _____ (Counselors/CIS, please ask clients to initial that they understand this.)
§ Please be considerate of other clients and Clothes Closet Volunteers by leaving shelves and racks as NEAT as possible and ONLY taking the number of items allowed.
§ ALL information is CONFIDENTIAL.
§ Each family is allowed 2 visits per school year – maximum 2 years in a row.
§ Based on availability, each family member may have the following:
Ø 5 Outfits (which includes 1 gently used uniform, if needed) (1 Outfit = pant and shirt or sweater or dress) per person Ø 1 Heavy Coat or Jacket per person per year Ø 5 Pairs of NEW Socks & 5 Pairs of NEW Underwear per CHILD per VISIT Ø 2 NEW uniform sets (if available) for each student attending a school whose students wear uniforms § NOTE: If a client takes more than the allowed number of clothing items or takes more time than allowed for selecting clothing, Clothes Closet staff may refuse service to that client in the future.
Directions to the Clothes Closet
Ø From IH 35, EXIT at VALWOOD PARKWAY and go West Ø Take a RIGHT at HUTTON and turn right at the fire station into the Standridge parking lot Ø The Clothes Closet is located at the NORTHWEST first level corner of Standridge Stadium. Ø Please do not park in spaces marked “STAFF” OR “PRINCIPAL.”

§ Horas del Ropero: 10:30 a.m.– 1:00 p.m. los jueves asignados y a las 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. los lunes asignados. Favor de llegar no mas tarde de las 11:45 en la manana y 7:45 en la tarde porque tendrá 45 minutos para seleccionar su ropa.
§ Debe traer la FORMA de RECOMENDACIÓN que indica que fueron referidos al Ropero por el asesor o la asesora de la escuela. Asegure que incluya TODA LA INFORMACIÓN NECESARIA. SE REQUIERE TRAER UNA FORMA PARA CADA VISITA. Estas se pueden obtener pidiéndosela a la directora o el director, del asesor o asesora, o la enfermera de su escuela.) Se requiere esta Forma de Recomendación para poder recibir ropa del Armario del Distrito Escolar. También debe traer bolsas de plástico o papel para su ropa.
§ NO SAQUEN a sus hijos/as de la escuela. Ellos NO tienen que ir al Ropero con usted para obtener sus selecciones.
§ IMPORTANTE: Por razones de seguridad, favor de NO TRAER NIÑOS al Ropero cuando venga por su ropa. Asegure el cuidado de sus niños pequeños con anticipo. Asesor/asesora, por favor dije su cliente que escribir su iniciales si se compren de este directiva.
§ Favor de ser consideradas/os de los demás clientes y de nuestros voluntarios. Deje los estantes ordenados como estaban y tome nada más la cantidad permitida.
§ Toda la información que proporcione se considera CONFIDENCIAL.
§ A cada familia se le permite visitar al Ropero solamente 2 veces por año escolar – no mas de 2 años seguidos.
§ Cada representante de la familia puede obtener lo siguiente: (Siempre y cuando todo esté disponible)
Ø 5 Juegos de Ropa – (Cada conjunto consiste de un pantalón, una camisa, blusa, suéter o vestido) Un Uniforme y 4 Conjuntos. Ø 1 Abrigo o Chaqueta Ø 5 Pares de Calcetines Nuevos y 5 Pares de Ropa Interior por año Ø 2 Uniformes por cada estudiante por año
§ NOTA: Si algún cliente lleva más de la cantidad de ropa permitida o se lleva más tiempo de lo indicado para hacer sus selecciones, se les rehusará servicio en el futuro a esas personas.
Como llegar al Ropero (Clothes Closet)
Ø El Ropero queda localizado en el primer nivel al noroeste del Estadio Standridge que queda en la esquina de Valwood Parkway y Hutton. Ø Si viaja hacia Sur por la Inter Estatal 35, tome la salida de Valwood Parkway y dirijase hacia al Oeste Ø Al llegar a la calle Hutton, voltee hacia su DERECHA y estacionese en el estacionamiento del Estadio Standridge Ø El Ropero queda localizado en la equina NOROESTE del primer nivel del Estadio. Ø Favor de no estacionarse en las secciones marcadas “STAFF” o “PRINCIPAL!”
