The Mary Grimes Education Center's 2003-2004 daily schedule provides more
classroom time for student learning. Class periods meet daily for 50 minutes.
An advisory period meets daily for 40 minutes. Students attend school either
8:15-12:15 or 11:35-3:35. Teachers have an individual conference period
assigned throughout the day, except 5th & 6th periods, which are teacher
lunch periods.

The
morning schedule is for students who report to work between 1:00 and 4:00
pm, and a verification of employment and work hours is required to receive
a morning schedule. Students may request a full-day schedule after 6 weeks
enrollment with 85% attendance and 1 full credit earned.
During advisory
period students and their advisors work on TAAS activities, and activities
related to Character Education, Diversity, Personal & Social Responsibility,
and Thinking Skills. In addition, advisors and advisees conference on attendance
issues, progress in courses and extra graduation requirements.
